I get it now, why the saying “the sun will come out” is a good one. When you live with the sun your entire life, you don’t understand it. There isn’t anything special about it. But now I live in a place where it disappears for 9 months out of the year. Where it’s rare. Today isn’t a good day because the sun came out for ten minutes. It’s an excellent day. It’s autumn and the leaves are fiery shades of brilliant orange and red and yellow and I can finally see them because the sun is out. Today is a beautiful day.
