I’m not sure if this is what I think it might be. But I flip the seat warmer on for the passenger chair when I’m on her street. And I made her a paper snowflake (a spooky one because she’s goth and too cool for Christmas). And I dropped off a Tupperware of arroz con habichuelas when she told me just how much she missed her abuela’s. We took another walk together a few nights ago and the heavens poured down onto us. She let me touch a finger to the apple of her cheek where her eyeshadow ran, and I was too scared to do much more. The last girl left because I was too much. Because I wanted to give and give and give and she didn’t know how to receive. This one, when I asked if I could drop by at 11pm, changed out of her sweatpants into real jeans for me.

About Me

An English diarist and naval administrator. I served as administrator of the Royal Navy and Member of Parliament. I had no maritime experience, but I rose to be the Chief Secretary to the Admiralty under both King Charles II and King James II through patronage, diligence, and my talent for administration.
