Last night I dreamt first of the bird. I don’t think I actually saw it, but I knew it was trying to hurt me. Bright and wings flapping wicked fast. I crushed it in the door by accident. It still tried getting in. My brother snuck in and she was just outside – fatally injured but still out to kill me.

The second one was even stranger. Dad had two male lovers and mom didn’t seem to care. One of them was Art aunt and boat uncle’s next door neighbor. That one made me a panini behind the concessions counter at work. You know what the secret is?, he asked me. He was wearing his fluffy pink robe. Pepsi and chocolate sauce. My brother was the brave one and took a bite.
