She ate a woodchip today because she thought it was a bit of pizza. I’m in love with her. I’ve never been more sure. She’s perched in the loft rafters like a cat- balanced and hidden and relaxed. I’m going to give you some space, because I think you need it, she said to me the second before I started to spiral. I dropped the soap in the shower and she laughed out loud before almost falling over. We shared a soggy kiss under the lukewarm spray. She slipped out of bed this morning to turn on the espresso machine. I’m still learning, she grinned with the first sip of warm foam. I am, too.

About Me

An English diarist and naval administrator. I served as administrator of the Royal Navy and Member of Parliament. I had no maritime experience, but I rose to be the Chief Secretary to the Admiralty under both King Charles II and King James II through patronage, diligence, and my talent for administration.
